A couple of thousand miles away

She feared her too much care might irritate him.
She kept herself busy to forget his absence.
He needed space and she gave him that.

Despite all sorrows, she put up a smile and functioned as per as her usual schedule the whole week.

When her time for pay came,
She stayed awake all night,
On their day- of being together
Waiting for a single text,
